December 4, 2009 - Harboring Hearts Housing Foundation Launch Event

Harboring Hearts Housing's December Launch event at Haven, hosted by Do Good, was a huge excess. Almost 400 attendees came to support the cause, raising over $35,000 toward Harboring Hearts' mission to provide affordable housing for cardiac patients and caregivers in need. Daphne Oz (Dr. Mehmet Oz's daughter) and William T. Sullivan (President and CEO of Ronald McDonald House of NYC) were among the many supporters.

Washington D.C. Launch Event
Harboring Hearts partnered with Change for Change to spread awareness about our charity and mission in the Washington, D.C. community. Attendees enjoyed an evening of cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres at the Moroccan-themed Pasha Lounge. We look forward to bringing more special events to all of our friends in the D.C. area.

Over 120 supporters joined Team Harboring Hearts for the American Heart Association’s “Start! Wall Street Walk and Heart Run” on May 19, 2009. Following the 5k race, the beautiful evening culminated in drinks and dinner at SouthWestNY by the harbor of the World Financial Center.

Spring Launch Event at the Hill for the Lopez Family

Harboring Hearts held a spring launch event at The Hill to celebrate our official non-profit status and get everyone excited about the upcoming Wall Street Walk/Run. Proceeds benefitted the family of Johan and Tariq Lopez, two 5-year-old twin boys who received life-saving heart transplants in 2007. The boys also received special presents for their birthday and hammed it up for the crowd, while their mother, Leslie, looked on with a smile. Holiday Greetings at the New York Presbyterian Hospital

Harboring Hearts volunteers made a special visit to New York Presbyterian hospital in December 2008 to spread holiday cheer and raise awareness about our organization. Patients who had received or were awaiting heart transplants received gift cards for a family dinner at partner restaurants Dinosaur BBQ and Coogan’s. The visit helped lift their spirits and get them excited about our vision for ways Harboring Hearts can help them in the future.
