Harboring Hearts Housing Foundation, Inc. understands that you are concerned about your privacy.  We created this Privacy Policy to describe what information we collect from you, how we use this information, with whom we share it, and how to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.  We urge you to read it carefully.

The Information We Collect and How We Use It

Personally Identifiable Information:
Personally identifiable information is information that can be used to identify you as an individual, such as you first and last name, your phone number, and your email address. We use this information to respond to requests, provide information about Harboring Hearts, and expand our organization.

Harboring Hearts only collects personally identifiable information about you when you voluntary submit this information.  You may use this site without submitting any personally identifiable information.  If you chose to submit personally identifiable information to Harboring Hearts, however, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

We may use your personally identifiable information to contact you individually or as part of a Harboring Hearts mailing list.  If you no longer wish to be contacted by us you can reach us using the information at the bottom of this page.  You can also contact us if you want us to correct or delete your personally identifiable information.

Aggregated Information:
Aggregated information is non-personal information about website visitors, such as the number of people who visit a website, what parts of the website they visit, and their IP addresses.  We may collect this aggregated information from all individuals who visit the Harboring Hearts website.  We may also use aggregated information internally and share aggregated information with third parties to provide services to our users, expand our organization, and improve our website.  We do not use this information to identify or contact you.

Cookies:
Cookies are small files on your computer that allow websites to recognize you and personalize content appropriately.  A website issues cookies so that it can read information from your computer at a later time.  Cookies can ease website navigation, save time, and simplify the process of delivering relevant content.  Our website may use "cookies" to make visiting the Harboring Hearts website more convenient.  You can configure your browser to control or reject its use of cookies.

If you register to use the Harboring Hearts website, we collect a limited amount of personally identifiable information from you, such as your e-mail address and password. Registering allows you to make the most of Harboring Hearts’ personalized features and content, build a public or private profile, create and join groups, and participate in online discussions.  To help protect your privacy, we recommend that when registering you create a username for your participation on the website that does not contain your full name and choose a strong password that others cannot easily guess.

Transfer of Personally Identifiable Information

Harboring Hearts will not rent, sell, or share personally identifiable information about you to third parties without your consent except under the following limited circumstances:

Legal Compliance
We may provide personally identifiable information to third parties to comply with valid legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order. If we are legally compelled to disclose your personally identifiable information to a third party, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you unless doing so would violate the law or court order or unless otherwise instructed by law enforcement.

Necessity
We may provide personally identifiable information to third parties if website administrators perceive a physical threat to you or others. We may also disclose such information if we believe it reasonably necessary to investigate or prevent harm, fraud, abuse, a violation of our terms or conditions of use, or other illegal conduct.

Service Providers
We may provide personally identifiable information to service providers with whom we have business relationships. For example, we may contract with third parties to provide certain services including data management, consulting, web hosting, and web development. We provide these third parties with only the information necessary for them to perform the particular services for which we have engaged them. We choose providers whom we believe maintain reasonable security procedures appropriate to the nature of the information involved in order to protect that information from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure.
